Yes, it is rather limited in the fact that you can only browse the Electronics section of Walmart. However, if you're looking for TVs, computers, camcorders, etc. it makes the process of finding what you want very straightforward. The categories are clear and well-ordered, allowing you to browse by price point, and offering product reviews and ratings from other customers.
One particularly neat addition to the Walmart app is the TV-sizing utility. This allows you to take a photo of the space where you want to put the telly, and specify where you want it to go. The app then calculates the best size TV for that space, suggesting products that might be suitable.
The Store Finder is simple to use too, and can automatically detect your location before displaying a map with your nearest Walmart stores on it. Other features of the app include a bookmarking tool, which lets you share products on Facebook, and a reliable product search.
Ultimately, the main problem with the Walmart app is that it's limited to electronic goods only. Hopefully we'll see a version with some more categories sooner rather than later.
